The American (east coast, LA) tenor saxophonist, Doug Webb, was featured in the March concert at the Bouwkunde.
Webb is featured on hundreds of recordings for artists including Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clarke, Quincy Jones, Rod Stewart, Art Garfunkel. He played for fifteen years with the Doc Severinsen Tonight Show Big Band. Webb has recorded music for hundreds of movies and television programs.
He is also a member of the Bill Holman Band.
We enjoyed Doug Webb’s wonderful sound and playing, and the superb combo battle between two tenor giants, Doug Webb and Volker Winck, in Moment’s Notice.
It was a very special concert with the Millennium Jazz Orchestra.
