Wednesday November 26 Greetje Kauffeld celebrated her 75th birthday. On that same day she was awarded the Edison National Jazz Award, for her entire works and extraordinary merits for the Dutch music. The jury praised her as “a jewel for the Dutch jazz and a singer of international style the Netherlands may be proud of”.
One week later she was the guest of the band in Deventer. Greetje and the orchestra played beautiful big band arrangements of Jerry van Rooyen, Rob Pronk and Kenny Napper. It was a great concert.
Unfortunately there are no photos of the concert due to technical problems.
