In February the Millennium Jazz Orchestra has invited as its guest soloist trombone master Bart van Lier.
Bart van Lier is the well known Dutch trombone soloist, teacher and the lead trombonist of the Metropole Orkest. Over the years Bart has been the Millennium Jazz Orchestra’s guest several times, but it is always such a nice experience playing with him. Specially for this concert Joan has arranged for Bart ‘Even you and I’, a song of Ivan Lins.
The bass trumpet is an instrument Bart knows well and he also has played several charts on this instrument.
It was a great concert with a dedicated and enthusiastic soloist and orchestra.
